DIGITAL CHAOS - Where video games and theatre collide!
Can you imagine anything more awesome than playing a video game on a huge movie theatre screen?! This is the idea behind "Digital Chaos," the group that brought this idea to The Beach Theatre. But they wanted to make it even better, so, 1) it's open to everyone, 2) trash-talking is allowed and encouraged. If you're good enough at trash-talking, you might be asked to be part of the show, 3) there will be live, color commentators calling the play-by-play to keep audience and players up-to-date, 4) there will be live stage shows performed by members of the "Interchangeable Parts" Rocky Horror Picture Show cast (that performs at this theatre on Saturday nights), 5) there will be lovely ladies, called DC Sirens, there to try to distract you, or even dance to Rock Band/Guitar Hero songs, and finally, 6) there will also be live performances by real bands, too!
Players are selected by raffle tickets given out with each admission ticket. The games played will be from all different game systems and the game categories will vary, too (DC takes requests). All skill levels and ages are welcome. Players will be judged on playing skill and performance, but the ultimate goal is having fun. You can even bring your own controller.

9/25/2009: A BEATLES DOUBLE FEATURE!
Part #1: "A Hard Day's Night" (1964) - The Beatles starring in their first full-length, hilarious action-packed film! Movie starts at 7:30pm and tickets are $7.00.
STORY: The plot is a study of a day in the life of the Fab Four beginning with them running from their adoring fans to catch a train. Every plot point circles around the band getting to a television show in order to perform a live concert, and within this stream of action is a series of slapstick, zany, and otherwise whacky bits of funniness. One obstacle in the works is Paul McCartney's babysitting of his grandfather, [who is] always getting into mischief... Ringo Starr... goes off on his own to find happiness only to land him in jail for loitering. John Lennon fires playful barbs at [the] TV director, whose biggest worry is that, if for some reason the Beatles stand him up, his next job will be doing "news in Welsh." One great storyline is with George Harrison in which he is mistaken for an actor auditioning for some trendy TV show for some trend-setter hostess... The Beatles' managers are stalwart English character actors who fill out the cast and support the general lunacy of the film with a more traditional presence, but still sustain an on-going battle about one being taller than the other. Anna Quayle has a great bit with John Lennon about his being someone he's not. The whole thing ends with an ear-shattering concert and the band, yet again, running from the adoring fans." - Written by hudacko on IMDB.com
STARRING: The Beatles (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, & Ringo Starr), and others.
MORE INFORMATION:IMDB ListingCOLOR: Black and White ~ RUNTIME: 87 mins.
Part #2: "Rock Band: The Beatles" will start at 9:30pm. Tickets are just $3.00. This is a brand new game (released 9/9/09), so this is your chance to check it out! You pick which song you want to play. If you have your own instrument, you're encouraged to bring it so you don't blame your mistakes on using someone else's. Guitar Hero's guitars are interchangeable with Rock Band's, but the drum set isn't. If you don't have an instrument, there will be one there you can borrow (but if you break it, you're paying for it). You can bring your friends to make up your own band, too. There will even be prizes for the best overall performer(s), so practice your jumps and kicks! If you want to really blow everyone away, get together with your Rock Band "band" and come up with moves ahead of time to impress the judges and audience!
